Explanation of data protection

As a rule, you can call up all BRC Internet pages without providing any personal information. If, in individual cases, your name, address or other personal data are required, you will be notified in advance. Your personal user data is used to make BRC's service as pleasant as possible for you and to improve it. If you decide to provide BRC with personal data via the Internet, e.g. to enable correspondence or to enable an order to be processed, this data will be handled with care in accordance with the strict regulations of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). By calling up the website, BRC receives usage data which is stored for security purposes and may allow identification (e.g. IP address, date, time and pages viewed). These data are evaluated by BRC in order to learn about user behaviour and to compile statistics. In doing so, the high security standards of the Teleservices Data Protection Act (TDDSG) and the Data Protection Ordinance for Telecommunications Companies (TDSV) are observed in all measures. There is no personal exploitation. We reserve the right to statistically evaluate anonymous data records. Further information on data protection in Switzerland can be found here: www.admin.ch

Passing on personal information to third parties

If, in the course of processing an order, data is passed on to service providers, these service providers are bound by the BDSG, other legal regulations and by contract to the Privacy Policy of BRC. If BRC is obligated legally or by court order, it will disclose your data to the required extent at information-entitled institutions. For other purposes, BRC will not pass on your data to third parties without your express consent.

Security

BRC stores your data on specially protected servers in Switzerland. Access to this data is only possible for a few persons authorized by BRC who are involved in the technical, commercial or editorial maintenance of these servers.

Right of revocation

If you request BRC not to use your personal data for further contact and/or to delete it, we will proceed accordingly. Data that are absolutely necessary for order processing or for commercial purposes are not affected by a cancellation or deletion.
Please understand that in the event of revocation, the personalised service can no longer be provided as it is based on the use of customer data.
